What is the meaning behind the "Gives You Hell" by the All American Rejects music video?

When I first heard the song, I thought it was about a woman that broke
up with the guy, and now he is well off and she doesn't have anything.
But the music video is two guys yelling at each other. Why did they do
it that way?
