Why do a lot of people try so hard to hate on 'pop' music?

I see a lot of people here do that, most of them are rock fans. So
what if pop music is simple? It is supposed to be simple. There's
nothing wrong with that..And there is more complex music than rock or
any kind of metal. And just to say both metal and rock are sub-genres
of POPular music.
